And the final name for Windows 7 is … Windows 7?

Well, at least Microsoft won’t have to come up with another flashy name for a new Windows version.  Microsoft officially announced that Windows 7 would have the final name of Windows 7.  There’s not much else to talk about, except for the fact that the author of the article does not understand how the numbering system works for Windows versions.

  • 1.0 = Windows 1.0

Windows NT line:
  • 3.1 = Windows NT 3.1
  • 3.5 = Windows NT 3.5
